Growth through learning

Last Wednesday, we reviewed our road maps and shared our thoughts. At first, I felt overwhelmed with the assignments and started feeling a bit burdened, thinking about all the assignments we had to complete. But when our co-mentor opened up about their own struggles, particularly with writing research papers, and dealing with a higher number of assignments than us. I realized that our workload was comparatively lighter. It gives me a sense of perspective and motivation to tackle the tasks at hand, knowing that we can handle these smaller assignments and succeed if we put in the effort. On Saturday, we headed to the football field in CST with full determination and confidence, ready to give it our best and win. Our friends from Gedu college assured us that the CST girls football team wasn't strong, so we were even more motivated to show our skills and come out victorious. But we ended up losing with 2:1 and I couldn't believe it. I had so much hope that our team would win. Moreover, my performance wasn't up to my expectation. I was totally drained in the first half because of the burning heat from the ground. It seemed like we weren't used to playing there. Our players were exhausted and huffing and puffing, while our opponents seemed totally fine. It just goes to show that they were more adjusted to their home turf. It felt like karma totally shot us in the back because we were so overconfident about winning.

I realized that we shouldn't judge others without seeing them in action. So, for our upcoming home match with CST, we are gonna give it our absolute best and play with dedication in the game. It is a disappointment that we lost all our matches at CST, except for the girl's volleyball and archery teams. We even headed to Jiagoan for some shopping. It felt amazing being there after a long time. We had a blast trying out street foods and we bought a bunch of cheap clothes too. After lunch on Sunday, we started our journey back from CST. I was so exhausted that I fell asleep on the way and even fell asleep in my room once we got back. The next day my whole body was in pain, but I still had to go to class and it went normal as usual.
